The fatal shooting of African American man, Alton Sterling, by white officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana has triggered country-wide protests of massive scale.

At least one protester in was pinned to the ground, as captured in a moving photo series by photographer Patrick Melon on his Instagram account. Melon is following the ongoing protests and has captured some shots in a bid to tell the story from the other side.
