The most radical change to this year's new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is the 3D Touch display. As Apple defines it, 3D touch recognises 'force which enables new gestures like Peek and Pop.' At the launch event, Apple showed third party apps like Instagram and Facebook already taking advantage of this new feature. We take a look at five apps by third-party developers, that are offering support for this new feature in the new iPhones. Dropbox At the iPhone 6s launch event, Apple demoed Dropbox with 3D Touch support first. From the app icon, users can now search, access recent document or images and most importantly upload files. Within a folder, Dropbox offers preview of a photo when users press on it. Pinterest In Pinterest app, 3D Touch can be used to create a new board or check trending boards from the app icon. As The Verge reports, "taking action within the app is a little awkward in this first implementation — Pin, Heart, and Send options pop up when you press on individual photos, but doing that requires two hands." WeChat Apple's iPhones are very popular in China and WeChat is the most popular social messaging platform in the country. With 3D Touch, WeChat users can initiate new chat, take sight video and even mute WeChat for an hour. Shazam With 3D Touch, Shazam allows users to immediately Shazam any music that's playing in the background. Instagram Instagram users can now direct message using 3D Touch with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and it allows a user to create a new post, check activity or search from the app icon itself via a long press.
