Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference has begun in San Francisco, and the Cupertino-tech giant has showcased its new iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3 and an improved tvOS.
But Apple’s WWDC is not just about new software upgrades, it is also about highlighting numbers, from app downloads to total voice-search requests on Siri. So here’s a look at the numbers Apple mentioned during the course of its WWDC 2016 keynote.

About WWDC and attendees
For WWDC, this is the 27th year when the conference takes place, and 2016 has a total of 5000+ attendees.
Apple revealed this time attendees are from 74 countries, and 72 per cent are at the conference for the first time. Apple also has 350 student scholarship winners at WWDC and over 120 of these are under 18 years of age. The youngest developer at WWWDC was a nine-year-old Australian-Indian girl.
Apple’s WWDC 2016 is a lot more than just the keynote session. There are over 110+ sessions and 150+ labs, and more than 1000+ Apple engineers are present at the conference to help developers.

App Store & Developers
Apple revealed they have over 2 million apps in App Store, with over 130 billion app downloads and nearly $50 billion paid to developers.
Apple TV
Apple TV now has over 1,300 video channels (only 80 before) and close to 6,000 native apps in just six months.

Siri
Siri, the voice-assistant, gets close to 2 billion requests per week and searches over 650,000 movies and television episodes on Apple TV.
Apps
In the new smarter Photos app, Apple says it ran over 11 billion calculations used in analysing a single photo for faces, places and objects.
Apple Music now has over 15 million subscribers.
Apple News now has over 2000 publications available with over 60 million monthly active users read.
Messages is the most frequently used app on iOS, while iCloud Drive has over 10 billion documents in iCloud.
