OnePlus 3 will be launching on June 14, via a VR event globally. The company will also host a special event in India on June 15, after the VR Loop launch for its 2016 flagship. While, one does not need a VR headset to watch the live event, OnePlus recommends it for an optimal 360 degree immersive experience. The launch will take place at 10 pm IST on June 14. Users who already have Loop VR headsets or are planning to watch the OnePlus 3 launch on Google cardboard, will need to download an app called OnePlus 3 Launch: The Loop. The OnePlus 3 launch event can be viewed live here. OnePlus 3 is company's flagship smartphone and is expected to come in six different variants. Three versions will come with 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB, 64GB, and 128 GB storage space, while there will also be a 6GB RAM version with the same 32GB, 64GB, 128GB storage space options. Previously OnePlus had kept the storage space limited at 16GB and 64GB options, but it looks like this time the company is revamping its flagship line by adding more storage options. Leaks suggest that the OnePlus 3 will ditch the iconic sandstone finish body seen in the previous two version, and instead have a metal unibody design, along with an AMOLED display. Other specs revealed in the listing are: 5.5-inch full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera plus a front fingerprint scanner along with Oxygen OS base on Android 6.0. We’ll have to wait and see how OnePlus 3 is priced in India and what variants are made available here. OnePlus has also announced three pop-up stores for the OnePlus 3 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Last year, OnePlus had also opened pop-up stores for the OnePlus 2 launch. The date and location for the pop-stores can be viewed here. OnePlus says that those who come to these stores will be able to experience the new OnePlus 3 and buy it right there.
