Lava has rolled out security patch that fixes ‘StageFright’ bug for its Pixel V1 smartphone based on Android One platfrom. With this rollout, Lava Pixel V1 becomes the first Android One smartphone to get this patch.

The StageFright bug is an Android exploit that can be triggered by a MMS and lead to exploit of device. Major security analysts consider Stage Fright as the most major Android security concern to date.

The update will be available over-the-air and the device needs to be connected to the internet for receiving this update.
