J-K: Four militants killed, three soldiers martyred in Naugam encounter

A total of four militants were killed and three soldiers lost their lives in a fierce encounter that started along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Naugam sector of north Kashmir yesterday. “Two more terrorists were killed today while another soldier attained martyrdom,” an Army official was quoted as saying by PTI.

The gun battle ensued when alert Army jawans had foiled an infiltration attempt by the militants. “The sanitisation operation is on along the LoC,” the official said. He added that four weapons and other war-like stores were had also been recovered from the encounter site.

On Saturday, two militants were killed and as many soldiers had lost their lives in the encounter.
