A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Allahbad High Court on Tuesday over his speech in which he said that he will not chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
The PIL has been filed under IPC Section 124A (sedition) against him.
When he was asked about it, Owaisi said that he had full faith in the legal system and that the court will do justice and finished his statement saying ‘Jai Hind’.

Meanwhile, BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Tuesday said that those who do not want to chant the ‘Hail India’ slogan should leave the country.
“I feel that those who don’t want to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai has no right to stay in India. They should go to some other country,” Vijayvargiya told reporters in Kolkata.

Owaisi had made the comment during a rally in Latur district of Maharashta on Monday in reply to a statement of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagat in which he said that the new generation should be taught to chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
