Quoting another Hindi news article about a mother and her two daughters found with their throats slit in their New Usmanpur home, Kejriwal said in another tweet, “LG sahib/ Modi ji, pl do something. Ye delhi mein kya ho raha hai (What is happening in Delhi).”

The control of law and order in Delhi has been the bone of contention between the BJP at the Centre and the AAP government in Delhi. Kejriwal has repeatedly attacked Modi, Jung and the Delhi Police for their “failure” to control the rise in crimes in the capital.

Last month, the government had released a draft bill on full statehood to Delhi, seeking to bring police, land, municipal corporations and bureaucracy under its control.

Kejriwal also quoted a tweet by Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal, who wrote that despite the “horrific” murder of a mother and two daughters and a rise in crimes against women, there was no high level committee to look into the matter. Quoting Maliwal’s tweet, Kejriwal wrote, “Will LG n Modi ji do something pl? Law n order situation deteriorating by the day in Del.”

He added, “Dilli mein balaatkar aur hatya. Par LG 24 ghante sarkar ke kaam mein roda atkane mein busy. Unse apna kaam nahi hota (Rape and murder in Delhi. But LG is busy creating hurdles for the government. He is unable to do his work).”
