Ali Zafar turns writer for a film
Is also toying with the idea of launching a film production
If you thought that Ali Zafar is content being a Pakistani singer turned Bollywood actor, then you are wrong, as he has turned writer for a film.
“I have now started writing for a film,” said the actor at a media interaction for Total Siyapaa. It will be for my own production,” he said, quickly adding, “Well, I am still thinking about launching a production house.” While he smiled enigmatically at the revelation of his new venture in writing, he refused to reveal more, except that he would also be acting in the film he’s writing.
“I like to keep challenging myself with something I have never done before,” adds the actor, who’s also composed the music of the upcoming romcom, Total Siyapaa. The film has him playing an Indian girl’s Pakistani beau, and the chaos that ensues in their families and around because of the animosity shared between the two nations.
Zafar is quite excited about shooting for his next film, Shaad Ali’s Kill Dil, which will be his first tryst with action. He hopes it’ll break the romcom specialist image he’s acquired with the films he’s done till now. He’s also grown a French goatee and a moustache – a look that he’ll be required to sport in the action romance, which also stars Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra.
