As megastar Chiranjeevi turned 61 on Monday (August 22) , the makers of Khaidi No 150 — the actor’s 150th film — released a special teaser of the film as his birthday gift. The video introduces viewers to the technical team of the film. The 52-second teaser introduces Chiranjeevi as a conqueror of millions of hearts and the undisputed king of the Telugu film industry.
On its concluding note, the video highlights that Boss is Back, and since the release of the teaser on social media, the #BossIsBack has been trending. The makers also officially confirmed that the actor’s 150th film, which is currently on the floors, has been titled Khaidi No 150, a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi.
The title has been chosen keeping in mind that Khaidi is the most famous film in Chiranjeevi’s career. The actor is returning to films as a hero after a long gap. Khaidi Number 150 is reportedly a remake of Tamil movie, Kaththi, which starred Vijay in a double role. Chiranjeevi is said to be playing a double role in the film too. VV Vinayak is said to have made some changes to the original Tamil story to suit Chiru’s image
Also starring Kajal Aggarwal, Tarun Arora, Ali and Tanikella Bharani, the film is being produced by Ram Charan. The film, which is being directed by V.V. Vinayak, will hit the screens during Sankranti festival next year.
Earlier, a consortium of investors, including Telugu film stars Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna, on Wednesday joined cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar as co-owners of Indian Super League franchise, Kerala Blasters.
