Patang, starring Seema Biswas and Nawazuddin Siddiqui,was his feature film debut and traces the lives of six people during India’s largest kite festival in Ahmedabad.
Filmmaker Prashant Bhargava of the award-winning Patang has passed away after a heart attack. Sangam, Ammaji and Radhe Radhe: Rites of Holi were some of the other films by the 42-year-old. Born and raised in Chicago, Bhargava began his career as a graffiti artist.
Patang, starring Seema Biswas and Nawazuddin Siddiqui,was his feature film debut and traces the lives of six people during India’s largest kite festival in Ahmedabad. The film premiered at Berlin Film Festival in 2011 and was also in the main competition category at the Tribeca Film Festival.
