Rebel Wilson will play a prominent role in New Line Cinema's comedy.

‘Bridesmaids’ actress Rebel Wilson has been cast in the ‘Private Benjamin’ remake. The 28-year-old actress will play a prominent role in New Line Cinema’s comedy, reported The Wrap.
Goldie Hawn starred in the 1980 comedy about a high society woman who misguidedly joins the military. The new version will star a redneck (Wilson) and a rich city girl who sign up for the marines.
The original film spawned a short-lived television show. The ‘Private Benjamin’ remake is currently seeking a director.
Wilson will next be seen in ‘Night at the Museum 3’ and ‘Pitch Perfect 2’.
