Sci-fi fans, here is some good news for you!

The official poster of Disney’s science fantasy film A Wrinkle in Time is out. It is based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle. The film’s plot will follow a journey across dimensions of time and space and the poster follows this theme by depicting the characters in futuristic looks with a background of celestial aesthetic. Earlier this year, Disney, in the biennial expo organised by their official fanclub D23, had released the trailer of A Wrinkle in Time.

A Wrinkle in Time’s cast is led by Storm Reid, known for her performance in 12 Years a Slave and Sleight, who stars as Meg Murry, a young girl who travels through time and space to save her father from another planet.

The tweet from the movie’s official page also reveals that the new trailer will be released on Sunday at the American Music awards. A Wrinkle in Time is a fantasy novel which also has science fiction elements. The first in a series of five novels called Time’s Quintet, the novel is heavy with thematic elements which Disney loves so much: adventure, childhood, teenage angst and friendship. Oprah Winfrey will be seen as Mrs Which in the film who is an immortal celestial being.

Pedants might still doubt Disney will be successful in reproducing the magic of the book on the big screen. But die-hard Disney fans would say otherwise.

Helmed by Ava DuVernay and starring Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Zach Galifianakis and Chris Pine, the film will be released on March 9, 2018 in the Unites States.

The Defence Ministry has approved medical facilities for officer cadets with disabilities during military training. This follows reports of discharged cadets due to medical reasons. The scheme offers free treatment at military and empanelled hospitals, with waived subscription fees of Rs 1.2 lakh. However, cadets will not receive ESM status and its accompanying benefits.
