Anushka Sharma to star in ‘Bombay Velvet’ ?

When asked about signing the film,Anushka neither confirmed nor denied it. “I can’t talk about things till it is confirmed. The announcement will come at the right time,” Anushka told reporters here at an event.

It was reported that Ranbir recommended Anushka’s name for ‘Bombay Velvet’,a drama film based on ‘Mumbai Fables’,a semi-fictional study of Bombay in 1960s by eminent historian and Princeton University’s history professor Gyan Prakash.

“I am looking to work with Anurag Kashyap,” she said.

The bubbly actress will also be seen romancing Aamir Khan in Raju Hirani’s ‘Peekay’,which will be the first time that she will be working with the two.

Aamir is reuniting with Raju after the blockbuster film ‘3 Idiots’.

Anuskha will also be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ with Imran Khan.

“We have finished shooting for the film. I am happy to work with Vishal and Imran. The best part about Vishal’s film is the characters are so well written. It is an entertaining film,” she said.

This film is likely to release in January next year.

Another film in her kitty is Yash Chopra’s untitled film with Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

“I have three films in hand – Yash Chopra’s film,’Peekay’ and ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’,” she added.
