Title of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Gabbar’ changed to ‘Gabbar Is Back’

Gabbar, a popular character name inspired from the iconic Bollywood entertainer ‘Sholay’, has now been used in this action film where Akshay Kumar is playing the lead.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s action drama ‘Gabbar’ gets a new name. With many of them doing the rounds including ‘Main Gabbar’, finally the makers of this film have decided to re-title as ‘Gabbar Is Back’.

Gabbar, a popular character name inspired from the iconic Bollywood entertainer ‘Sholay’, has now been used in this action film where Akshay Kumar is playing the lead. The film which is the remake of the Vijaykanth starrer ‘Ramana’, will see Akshay Kumar playing the role of a vigilante who takes law into his hands to bring justice by eliminating the corrupt. We also hear that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be playing the role of Akshay’s wife which will be a cameo in this film. On the other hand, Shruti Haasan will be seen as the female lead.

Directed by Krish and produced by SLB films in association with Viacom 18, ‘Gabbar Is Back’ is slated to release on May 1.
