The Conjuring 2 box office collections: Film earns Rs 19.80 cr in India

On June 10, two Bollywood movies, director Ribhu Dasgupta’s TE3N starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan and director Deepak Tijori’s Do Lafzon Ki Kahani starring Randeep Hooda and Kajal Aggarwal released alongside Hollywood horror movie The Conjuring 2. The Conjuring 2 had a great start at the box office with a collection of Rs 5.25 cr beating Bollywood’s TE3N which managed to mint only Rs 2.61 cr and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani collecting Rs. 1.03 cr at the ticket window. In the last few weeks, movies like The Jungle Book, Batman v Superman, Captain America: Civil War, X-Men Apocalypse and Kung Fu Panda 3 took the box office by storm and emerged as clear winners. As per latest collections tweeted  by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film continues to do good business at the Indian box office:

The Conjuring 2 is the sequel of the 2013 film The Conjuring. It features Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Frances O’ Connor, Madison Wolfe, Simon McBurney in lead roles.

While The Conjuring 2 is surely going to have an upper hand in the weekend, it will be interesting to see if Bollywood can bounce back or not.
