Not Fawad Khan, it’s Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh in ‘Udta Punjab’

It's not Fawad but the superstar of Punjabi movies - Diljit Dosanjh, who will be romancing Kareena Kapoor in 'Udta Punjab'.

‘Udta Punjab’ first came into news as soon as Shahid’s ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was roped in to play a pivotal role, though the duo will not be sharing screen space in the movie.

We had reported that in most probability it will be Fawad Khan who will be replacing Ayushmann Khurrana in Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’. But the latest we hear is that it’s not Fawad but the superstar of Punjabi movies – Diljit Dosanjh, who will be romancing Kareena Kapoor in the movie.

The director of the movie, along with his team, will leave for Punjab this weekend to finalise locations and the movie will go on floors by the end of February. ‘Udta Punjab’ deals with the growing drug addiction in the state.

Currently, the team is working on the look of the four lead actors. The movie also stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
