Mohenjo Daro box office day 7 collection: Hrithik Roshan film’s business is below par
After seeing how Rustom vs Mohenjo Daro box office clash worked out, Hrithik may have to re-think that one.

Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro and Akshay Kumar’s Rustom have both completed a week at the box office and the verdict is in. While Rustom is on its way to earn Rs 100 crore, Mohenjo Daro is looking at Rs 51.18 crore in first week box office collections.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Friday, “#MohenjoDaro Fri 8.87 cr, Sat 9.60 cr, Sun 12.08 cr, Mon 10.27 cr, Tue 3.16 cr, Wed 2.96 cr, Thu 4.24 cr. Total: ₹ 51.18 cr. India biz.” The business is below par for a film which has the magical jodi of Hrithik and Ashutosh Gowariker.
Taran also wrote that the film has done better business outside India. “#MohenjoDaro has fared better internationally… Week 1 expected to close at $ 3.6 million [₹ 24.13 cr]… Best in UAE-GCC and Pakistan,” he wrote.
The film’s earnings on Thursday, which was a holiday on account of Raksha Bandhan, were much lesser than expected at Rs 4.24 crore. Trade is likening Mohenjo Daro’s performance to Hrithik’s Kites, which was a dud at the BO. According to box office aggregator Koimoi, Mohenjo Daro is expected to end its run at about Rs 60 crore.
This comes as a bad news for the Hrithik film that was made at a budget of Rs 100 crore with another Rs 15 crore spent on promotions. This was Hrithik’s comeback of sorts after two years. His next film due for release is Kaabil, which will reportedly clash with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees.
