Indian Express surfers vote Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as best dressed at Cannes 2014

According to an online poll by Indian Express, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the winner hands-down when it comes to best-dressed Indian beauties at Cannes 2014.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan emerged as the best-dressed Indian beauty at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, according to an online poll conducted by The Indian Express.

Aishwarya Rai no doubt deserves every bit of the praise for her dazzling red carpet appearances – in a gold coloured Roberto Cavalli gown and the white embellished gown, also by Cavalli. Aishwarya Rai got over 2,500 votes for her red carpet appearances at this year’s Cannes. (Also Vote here)

Coming in a close second was fashionista Sonam Kapoor, who also wowed us in her four looks – the black Elie Saab gown, the red flowy gown, also by Elie Saab, the ethnic look in Anamika Khanna and our favouite – lilac by Elie Saab. She got 21 per cent votes.

Indian export to Hollywood, Frieda Pinto came third, credit going to her gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown and Mallika Sherawat got the least amount of votes.

Let’s hope she steps it up a bit next year at Cannes.

Former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, grandson of former PM H D Deve Gowda, has been assigned clerical duties at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison after receiving a life sentence for rape. He earns Rs 520 per day and faces multiple charges stemming from four cases, with evidence including videos of the assaults recorded on his phone. He was found guilty in one case and still faces trial in the others.
