Karan Johar has decided to stay away from the controversy brewing around Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay after Ajay Devgn demanded an investigation into KRK's claims of having received 25 lakhs to positively promote the film. At Express Adda when Karan was asked about the controversy, the filmmaker chose to stay dignified by not commenting about it. Said Karan,"My self respect, reputation, company reputation and my upbringing doesn't allow me to dignify this question with a response." Karan's response was indicative of the fact that he is not interested in becoming party to dirtying himself by commenting on the KRK-Ajay Devgn war that he too now finds himself embroiled in. Express Adda which was moderated by Anant Goenka, Executive Director of Indian Express, and film critic Shubhra Gupta also saw Karan Johar at his wittiest best narrating anecdotes that left the packed audience in splits. Recollecting his encounter with Will Smith at Akshay Kumar's house, KJO said, "Will said, ' I know no one at this party.' To this I replied, "Where there is a will, there is a way." #ExpressAdda with Karan Johar full video KJO also narrated yet another episode with eminent Hollywood filmmaker Woody Allen at Heathrow airport, an episode that left him mighty scarred. It so happened that when KJO spotted Woody Allen in the first class lounge of the airport, he thought of approaching him to get his autograph for a friend's 40th birthday back home. With that intent, Karan approached Woody and introduced himself as a filmmaker from India and asked if he could get an autograph for his friend back home. Woody's response was a curt 'No'. "I just wanted the earth to part and swallow me up then," said Karan. #ExpressAdda live: Karan Johar reacts on Ajay Devgn-KRK war The filmmaker also mentioned Meryl Streep is his favourite actress ever and he would like to dine with her someday.
