Filmmaker Anand Kumar, who directed “Zila Ghaziabad”, will now produce a film titled “Viral”, based on social media. It will go on the floors in February.

“‘Viral’ is based on social media. It’s quite an unusual script. I am only producing this film and not directing it this time. In today’s date and time where social media has taken over everything, we thought it would be interesting to make a film primarily focusing on this,” Kumar told IANS.

“I feel things have completely changed after social media hogged the limelight. Relationships have taken a back seat and now it’s all about lust,” he added.

He has joined hands with Endemol India for the project, directed by debutant Raaj Nadar.

“It feels great to have tied up with Endemol India. We are looking at this film on a large scale. Looking at today’s scenario, there is no way that we could make this film a conservative one. So yes, it’s going to be a bold film. We will start rolling from next month,” he said.

The cast of the film is yet to be finalized.
