Baar Baar Dekho box office collection day 4: Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif film nosedives
Baar Baar Dekho box office collection day 4: Katrina Kaif, Sidharth Malhotra's film saw major downfall by Monday, with little occupancy.

Despite heavy duty promotions, dubsmashes and chartbusters songs, Baar Baar Dekho has fallen flat at the box office. By the fourth day, it’s collections have plummeted to its lowest. The much-awaited film of the season managed to garner only Rs 25.53 crore by its fourth day. While the audience came out disappointed from the theatres, looks like its title Baar Baar Dekho, just didn’t suit its situation. While many expected the figures to see a little rise by Monday, sadly it didn’t happen and the film saw even lesser audience at the theatres.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BaarBaarDekho nosedived on Mon… Fri 6.81 cr, Sat 7.65 cr, Sun 6.70 cr, Mon 2.37 cr. Total: ₹ 23.53 cr. India biz.”
Baar Baar Dekho was being called a crucial film for Katrina Kaif whose last two films, Fitoor and Phantom had also tanked. Sidharth Malhotra, who was on a winning spree this year with his previous hit Kapoor & Sons, faced disappointment too. Looks like debutant director Nitya Mehra’s vision didn’t go down too well with the viewers. The film has been made at an approximate budget of Rs 50 crore. But we really doubt whether it’ll be able to make satisfactory profits now. Sadly, the Eid weekend also failed to help in the film’s collections.
Baar Baar Dekho had a decent opening on Friday with a collection of Rs 6.81 cr. On its day 2, the film managed a slight growth 12.33% making a total earning of Rs 14.46 cr. but by Sunday, it began to drop dramatically in its profits. Its third day stood at only Rs 6.7 crore, the number was the lowest of the first three days.

Many are holding it’s unusual storyline responsible for its failure. While its non-linear storytelling looked exciting initially, it actually became one of its major loopholes, according to the audience reaction. Though it managed to do comparatively better than Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Freaky Ali which released along with it, its big banner and glossy packaging couldn’t be of any good. Let’s see how much business it is able to do, before the Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan, releases next weekend.
