Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starts shooting for Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’, hubby Abhishek ‘Loves it’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is returning to the silver screen after a four-year-long hiatus, will start shooting for 'Jazbaa' from today.

Sanjay Gupta shared a picture of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from the set:

In the picture, the mother of one is donning a black leather jacket with her hair tied in a high ponytail as she looks at a computer in a laboratory.

Aishwarya Rai, who was last seen on screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’, has been paired opposite  Irrfan Khan in the Sanjay Gupta film.  A few days ago, film’s lead actor Irrfan had already started shooting for the movie. The actress, who has been seen only in ads and on the Cannes red carpet, had taken a sabbatical after the birth of her daughter Aaradhya.

On seeing the picture, Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Haha. Love it.”

Jazbaa’ is an official remake of a foreign film but Sanjay Gupta is not yet ready to give the name of.  Sanjay Gupta had earlier said in an interview to Indian Express: “All I can say is it is a thriller and a drama, about what ordinary people can do in extraordinary situations.”

‘Jazbaa’ has Aishwarya Rai playing the role of a lawyer, Irrfan playing a suspended cop and Shabana Azmi as his mother and a renowned professor. On the other hand, the film will also see John Abraham in a special appearance. Sanjay Gupta is aiming at Cannes to premiere the film.
