Aamir Khan to begin shooting for ‘Dangal’ on September 1

Aamir Khan, who has been prepping up for his role of a wrestelr in ‘Dangal’, will start shooting for the film from September 1. Aamir, who was last seen as an alien in Bollywood blockbuster ‘PK’, took time to prepare for his role of a father and wrestler in ‘Dangal.’

Dangal’s schedule is going to be a long and will be shot extensively in Punjab and Haryana. Aamir and team will also be shooting at Kila Raipur in Ludhiana, where rural olympics are held each year.

Aamir Khan had heard a lot about this place and is very excited to shoot in these rural areas. He is also very curious to know more about the place.

Dangal’ has Aamir Khan playing the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat and Sakshi along with the actor will be seen as an aged couple in the film. The film also stars a few newbies like Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra playing his daughters, while Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar will play the younger versions of the daughters.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey and produced by Disney UTV, Dangal is slated to release on December 23, 2015.
