Engineering student ends life after failing exam
The suicide note mentions that he committed suicide because of failure in examination.
A student of engineering committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Sanjay Gandhi housing society in Somnath Nagar area of Wadgaon Sheri on Friday.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Avinash Arjun Nare (22), left behind a suicide note stating that he was taking the extreme step because of his failure in his examination.
Avinash was a third-year student at a private engineering college in Lohegaon area.

Assistant police inspector Manoj Patil of Chandan Nagar police station said Avinash’s father works in a private company. “On Friday morning, Avinash dropped his father at work place and came back home. His mother and younger brother were present in the house. Our investigation so far has revealed that he went to his study room and then hanged himself to the ceiling around 10.30 am.”
Avinash’s body was first found by his brother, who went to see him in the study room. The brother then informed the parents, who called the police.
The body has been sent to Sassoon hospital for autopsy.
“We have found a suicide note. It mentions that he committed suicide because of failure in examination. He was a student of engineering at the D Y Patil college of engineering in Lohegaon. Further investigation is on,” Patil said.
