The government will take charge of the measures, he said, indicating the possibility that funds for fogging may not be released to municipal corporations.

“We have started preparing for dengue. To curb any epidemic, one can do two things – first is take precautionary steps, and second, cure it. Government did the curing part well last year. Precautionary steps, measures were in the hands of the municipal corporations,” he said.

“We give them (corporations) Rs 100 crore and then everything comes back to us when it comes to action. Why will we give charity of such an amount?”
