Chinese archaeologists have uncovered a 13-kilometre section of the Qin Straight Road, a 2,200-year-old highway built in just five years by the first emperor of China. The new stretch provides insight into the advanced engineering techniques used and the discovery of a small auxiliary site supports the belief that the road was used for long-term logistical purposes.
