Jaker Ali’s late cameo of 45 runs helped Bangladesh avoid a complete collapse, ensuring they at least crossed the 200-run mark, which looked unlikely at one stage.

Bangladesh produced a disappointing batting performance, managing only 236/9 in their 50 overs on a batting-friendly track at Rawalpindi. Given the conditions, this total appears well below par, and credit goes to New Zealand’s bowlers for their disciplined approach, delivering many dot balls to stifle the hosts.
