"The Bangladesh team has shed the minnows’ tag for a while now with players like Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman in their ranks. Even though it’s unlikely that the Tigers will win the World Cup, they are more than capable of conjuring up upsets in the tournament. It’s kind of their USP too as they had shocked India in the 2007 World Cup and defeated England in the 2015 edition. With Shakib set to lead them at the upcoming Asia Cup as well as the World Cup, Bangladesh will hope to make history by reaching at least the semi-finals of the World Cup, something that has eluded them thus far. One big advantage that they have in both the Asia Cup and the World Cup is that they will be familiar with sub-continental conditions, which might make them a force to be reckoned with."
