The 2023 ODI World Cup is the 13th edition of the cricket’s showpiece tournament. While the 2023 World Cup will be the fourth instance of India hosting the event, the Men in Blue have clinched the title two times so far.
The first game of the 2023 World Cup will be played between defending champions England and 2019 runner-up New Zealand. The game will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.
India, led by Rohit Sharma, will be one of the favourites for the title this year. They will start their campaign against Australia on October 8, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The biggest match on the World Cup calendar in the group stages will be the game between India and Pakistan, to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. The game was rescheduled from the initial date on October 15.
The Men in Blue are to take on each of their nine opponents at nine different venues across India: Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Kolkata and Delhi.
