Vicky Kaushal, who is a part of Karan Johar's short story, said, “All the short films will be based on the theme of ‘love and lust’. It’s got me, Kiara (Advani) and Neha (Dhupia) and though the theme is love and lust, it’s also peppered with a lot of good situational comedy. Karan had experimented in the first film and he is also sort of experimenting this time, too but it won’t be a serious film. I am excited and it’s like a dream come true to be directed by him."
Kiara Advani shared a picture on Instagram and wrote, "Meet Megha and Paras this June on @netflix_in ! Truly grateful to be a part of this amazing anthology by four of India’s greatest directors and to be directed by my dream director @karanjohar ❤️ Can’t wait for you all to watch Lust Stories."
Talking about the series, Karan Johar had said in a statement, “A theme of lust….a new age and dynamic platform…the company of prolific filmmakers…the vision of Ashi Dua and Ronnie Screwvala made this experience immensely sexy and satisfying! (no pun intended)…Lust Stories breaks ground and even tears the envelope at times! This one is worth the price of a subscription!”
So far, a lot of speculation and excitement has been brewing around Vicky and Kiara's short film.
Ronnie Screwvala is producing the short films under his banner RSVP in association with Ashi Dua of Flying Unicorn Entertainment.
While Karan Johar's short story would star Vicky and Kiara, the short story of Dibakar Banerjee would mark Manisha Koirala's web series debut.
Another aspect of love and lust would be explored by Anurag Kashyap. In his short film, Radhika Apte and Akash Thosar play crucial roles.
