Two granted regular bail in Naroda Patiya case

The designated fast-track court for the Naroda Patiya case,on Monday,granted regular bail to two persons accused in the case.

The designated fast-track court for the Naroda Patiya case,on Monday,granted regular bail to two persons accused in the case. This is the first order by the court after its constitution,following the Supreme Court’s order.

The accused have been identified as Laxman alias Lakho and Vijay Shetty. The two have been accused of conducting and instigating riots in the Naroda Patiya locality,where around 100 people were killed on February 28,2002,following the Godhra train carnage.

Vijay Patel,counsel of one of the accused,said that the two were granted bail on ground of parity.
