Three groups put up a joint front

In view of the upcoming SGPC polls,three groups—Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi),Shiromani Akali Dal (1920) and SAD(Longowal)— announced a joint front on Friday.

In view of the upcoming SGPC polls,three groups—Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi),Shiromani Akali Dal (1920) and SAD(Longowal)— announced a joint front on Friday. Talking to The Indian Express,Jaswinder Singh Baliawal,Punjab president of SAD (Delhi) said,“The three groups held a joint meeting in which five members from each party participated. The meeting was held under the leadership of Tarsem Singh,Chairman Dharam Parchar,Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. It was decided unanimously to jointly contest the forthcoming SGPC elections. The Gursikh candidates of the three parties will jointly contest all seats.”

We are yet to decide the name for this joint front. It will be decided in the next meeting,he added.

Others who attended the meeting were Balwant Singh Brahm from Moga,Shamsher Singh Bharowal from Moga,Hardayal Singh,Gurvinder Singh,Buta singh Ransingh,Rajwinder Singh Hissowal,Karnail Singh and Kirpal Singh.
