Mumbai gangrape: Raj Thackeray guns for Patil,calls him ‘complete failure’

Thackeray urged women to come forward to present a garland of bangles to Patil.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has demanded the resignation of state Home Minister R R Patil over the gangrape of a photojournalist in Mumbai. Hitting out at Patil,the MNS chief termed him as a “complete failure”.

“Patil is not competent enough to handle the Home portfolio efficiently. With such a person at the helm,the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated,” said Thackeray.

The MNS chief went on to call the Maharashtra home minister a courier of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.

“He has been kept on the post only to feed information to Pawar in Delhi about what is happening in Maharashtra,” said Thackeray.

Continuing his attack on Patil,Thackeray urged women to come forward to present a garland of bangles to the home minister.
