"Everyone knows who were behind the Bhima-Koregaon (violence) but instead of arresting them, those who have no connection, have been arrested and this is called the misuse of power," former union minister Sharad Pawar had said.
Around three weeks ago, two Shiv Sena members were brutally murdered at Kedgaon in Ahmednagar. Police have booked three sitting Members of Legislative Assembly along with some more local political leaders in connection with the murders.
In a statement later, Chitra Wagh said the BJP-led government has "failed" to solve the problems of people. "Several decisions of the Maharashtra government have forced the people of this state to have a black Diwali instead of a colourful Diwali," she added.
