Alleging that some of his colleagues were not condemning criticism of Congress president Sonia Gandhi,Andhra Pradesh Textiles Minister P Shankar Rao today said such ministers should be removed.
“When Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister, ministers used to respond immediately whenever critical comments were made against the high command or Sonia Gandhi. What happened to that enthusiasm, now when such remarks were made (by loyalists of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy),” he said talking to reporters here.
“It is the same ministers, same government, same party. Why that enthusiasm is not there?” Rao asked, adding that ministers should not forget they owed their posts to the high command.
Rao,known for his cheeky remarks, said such ministers should be removed from their posts.
Rao also reiterated that no police officer had contacted him even four days after he said that he was getting threatening calls for writing a letter to the High Court about alleged irregularities in the companies owned by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
On Tuesday,Rao had alleged that he was receiving threat calls after the High Court issued notices to 52 companies that had invested in the group companies owned by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
It was on a letter written by Shankar Rao in October, seeking probe by the CBI,that High Court (treating the letter as a petition) issued notices to the investors and to the Centre on Jagan’s “ill-gotten wealth”.
