L&T exports its first nuclear power equipment to USA
Larsen and Toubro said it has delivered its first four Dry Shielded Canisters for Transnuclear,a US-based nuclear power operator.

Engineering major Larsen and Toubro said it has delivered its first four Dry Shielded Canisters for Transnuclear,a US-based nuclear power operator.
“These Canisters form a part of orders for 50 such units for three leading American nuclear power plant operators,to be manufactured in accordance with the US Code of Federal Regulations and Nuclear Safety Class 1 standards,” the company said in a statement.
“This marks an international recognition of our capabilities and also the first steps in participating in the potentially large global nuclear equipment market,” L&T Board Member and President (Heavy Engineering) M V Kotwal said in the statement.
L&T serves the power sector across the entire spectrum from design services to equipment manufacture,erection,construction and commissioning of complete projects on a turn-key basis.
