Ravindra Jadejas plea for pardon was rejected by Arun Jaitley,the one-man appeals committee,appointed by the IPLs governing council to look into the Rajasthan Royals players appeal. Jaitley upheld the one-year ban slapped on him after the all-rounder had been found to have violated the norms set by the IPL.

IPLS CEO Sundar Raman had tweeted saying that Jadejas ban upheld for 2010 IPL Season. However,there is one other development that has taken place after the player had gone in appeal against the ban. That is,the one-man committee also reprimanded Mumbai Indians for showing interest in signing the all-rounder midway through his contract with Rajasthan Royals.

Raman wrote on his Twitter page: Chairman Mr Jaitley filed the report. MI (Mumbai Indians) reprimanded.

The IPLs governing council had banned Jadeja for this years IPL season after the player failed to sign the renewal contract with Rajasthan Royals for the ongoing season and attempted to negotiate a new contract with Mumbai Indians.

Following the ban,the Jaipur franchise wrote to the IPL referring to the role of Mumbai Indians in the episode,which forced the Twenty20 league to discuss the matter and order a full-fledged inquiry.
