IPL best practice for T20 WC

Yuvraj Singh sees the IPL as the perfect dress rehearsal ahead of the World T20 Championship in England.

Yuvraj Singh sees the IPL as the perfect dress rehearsal ahead of the World T20 Championship in England. The IPL has come at the right time to help all (countries) prepare for the T20 World Cup. It will give all the players a lot of practice as each team will play at least 14 matches. Its going to get better, the World T20 Cup (because of IPL), the left-hander said.

Yuvraj, who is the captain of Kings XI Punjab, felt fast bowlers would be a key factor in the IPL as the wickets in South Africa are faster than the Indian pitches where the first edition was played.

The conditions will be different to last years. The wickets will be fast and fast bowling will be important and they would be crucial, he said. Yuraj also said his team had enough options on this front, even though Australian pace ace Brett Lee would not be available for the entire duration.

Im sure we have enough fast bowling options. Lee is available (for part of the tournament). We have to go there and see what is the best balance, he said.
