First copying case reported from Narmada district

A boy from the Narmada district appearing for the SSC state board exam was caught with chits on Friday.

A boy from the Narmada district appearing for the SSC state board exam was caught with chits on Friday. Incidentally,no case of copying has been registered with the District Education Office,though the boy was caught by a flying squad team during its routine round of inspection.

The incident took place at Maharaja Rajendrasinh Vidyalaya at Rajpipla in Narmada District. The boy was caught with the chits when an official of the flying squad checked him before he entered the examination hall. The students were appearing for their English (Lower level) paper on Friday. The officials at the District Education office said Rajpipla is a sensitive zone where many such incidents of copying occur.

The District Education Officer (DEO) of Narmada district,R H Gol,said,“I am not aware of the details as to how the boy was caught but the case was brought to my notice late in the evening today. Any further decision about the action will be taken by the Board.”

No copying case in Vadodara

On the fourth day of the state board exam,over 38,790 SSC students appeared for their English (LL) paper and over 4,650 HSC students appeared for their psychology paper across the Vadodara district. According to District Education Office,no case of copying was registered across the district.

25 cases of irregularities reported in board exams

The Secondary and Higher Secondary exams went off smoothly on the fourth day. While SSC students appeared for the secondary language paper of English,HSC students of the general stream appeared for the psychology paper. The students of the science stream did not have any paper today. Out of a total of 44,565 students for SSC,43,907 remained present while 658 were absent in Ahmedabad city. In rural Ahmedabad,28,627 students were present and 490 were absent out of a total of 29,117. Nine cases of irregularities were found of which eight were in Junagadh and one in Narmada district. In HSC exams,out of 5,933 students,5,777 were present while 156 remained absent in Ahmedabad city. In rural Ahmedabad,out of total 6,000,the number of students present was 5,865 while 135 remained absent. In HSC exams,a total of 16 cases of irregularities were reported,out of which 13 were in Junagadh and one each in Banaskantha,Bhavnagar and Dahod districts.
