DyGM of BSNL arrested on graft charges

A Deputy General Manager of BSNL has been arrested by the CBI in connection with a graft case here.

Fathen Singh Meena was arrested by the CBI on Saturday while he allegedly accepting bribe through his tout Radhey Shyam Meeda,who was also arrested.

“A contractor had done some work worth Rs 33 lakh.

While the DGM cleared some bills,others were held back. He asked for Rs one lakh as bribe through his tout who was also arrested,” R K Gaur,Press Information Officer,said here on Sunday.

During subsequent searches carried out by the agency,Gaur said CBI found papers of petrol pump in the name of the officer’s wife.

They also found 10 bank accounts and documents showing heavy investments in LIC and IDBI besides four plots.
