DPS wins folk dance contest

Delhi Public School,Sector 40 emerged as the winner at the Folk Dance Competition (Juniors). The competition was held at Bhavan Vidyalaya,Sector 15,Panchkula on Tuesday,under the on-going Fanta Fiesta 2011 contest. After winning the folk dance competition in the seniors category,on Monday,the junior team bagged top honours at the competition. A total of 19 teams from Chandigarh,Panchkula,Mohali,Rajpura,Pinjore,Nabha and Ambala participated in the Dance Competition which was held The teams performed a variety of folk dances depicting National and International regions.

The dances included Durga Stuti,Himachali,Bhangra,Giddah,Haryanavi,Kalbeliya and Goan.
