Different tribute

As July 31 nears,there are innumerable music programmes scheduled in memory of the late Mohammed Rafi – whose 30th death anniversary falls on this day.
The Rafi Foundation will pay a musical tribute to the volcano of talent and powerhouse of amazing versality – by playing immortal songs of 25 music composers at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Hall in Mumbai on July 18.
Yesteryear singer Madhubala Jhaveri,who has sung many popular duets in the golden era with Rafi will be honoured,said Binu Nair,founder,Rafi Foundation.
Noted stage performers like Hamid Khan,Zameer Darbar,Mukesh Solanki,Aparna and Mona Kamath (a Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalist) would recreate the Rafi era of golden era and Rafis one-time associate music arranger Nandu Kerkar and his team would be the part of the event.
