CPM attacks BJP on BSY,calls it doublespeak

Although with the BJP in cornering the UPA with the demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

Although with the BJP in cornering the UPA with the demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum allocation scam, the CPM is increasingly targetting the BJP for letting B S Yeddyurappa continue as the Karnataka Chief Minister. This is mainly because of a realisation that it should target both the Congress and BJP in equal measure and reaffirm its pitch for a third alternative with the argument that there is little difference between the two.

The CPM has been firing salvos on and off at the BJP as it became clear that the latter was caught in a dilemma over Yeddyurappa. A day after the BJP announced that Yeddyurappa would continue as CM,the CPM sharpened it attack, describing the decision as a classic case of political opportunism sans any sense of guilt.

While the BJP seeks to take undeserved credit for Bihar results claiming to have placed development agenda over caste considerations, its Karnataka decision is based purely on it, an editorial in forthcoming issue of CPM organ Peoples Democracy said.
