Cheating on spouse? Watch out for detectives on your trail

Manpreet Singh Sidhu of Top Secret Detective Agency says that detectives get more joy than clients when a case is solved. “In reality,detectives do not get to solve the exotic kind of cases handled by fictional ace detectives. Criminal cases are out of our reach as those are in the terrain of the police. Some cases are,however,referred to us by the police,” says Sidhu.

And what gives most joy to these sleuths. “ I feel most happy when I help save a marriage that was faltering on the basis of a wrong-suspected adultery. We don’t always break families,but also save them.”

Kuldeep Sodhi of Chanakya Detective Agency adds: “People are generally reluctant to come to a detective till it is too late.”

The fees charged by these detectives vary from case to case depending on the expenditure incurred on investigation. A detective has to maintain the confidentiality of a client’s personal information.

A retired policeman,K K Singh of KPO Helpline,says while all kinds of people are required on the job,some form part of the permanent team,while others are hired as per the needs of the case. Retired government servants are the favoured operators,considering the contacts they have.
