Congress Legislative Party leader Rajinder Kaur has rejected the move initiated by both the ruling and opposition members of Punjab Vidhan Sabha to withdraw corruption cases registered against prominent political leaders of both the parties. The move would set a wrong precedent in the state if the Assembly decides to withdraw the cases on its own,she said.
The move was initiated by BJP MLA Satpal Gosain and backed by both SAD and Congress leaders. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Nirmal Singh Kahlon had already sent the proposal for a legal opinion. Various SAD leaders including Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal have been facing criminal cases.
