The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Music went jointly to Sajid-Wajid for Dabangg and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for My Name Is Khan.
While Wajid collected the award for his brother too,the other honour was collected by My Name Is Khan director Karan Johar.
I feel honoured that a publication I truly respect has given us this great and prestigious award. – Sajid
I am missing my brother very much today he is unwell and could not attend this event. After working for 12 years, this is our first award. I thank Allah and Arbaaz (Khan) bhai and Abhinav Kashyap, our lyricists and everyone connected with this film. And above all,we must thank Salman (Khan) bhai, simply because he believed in us when no one else did. – Wajid
It feels great to start the year by winning the Screen Award. Niranjan Iyengars lyrics and the outstanding work by our singers gave this album a special sound. And it has always been special working with Karan Johar. Thank you,Screen. – Ehsaan Noorani
Best Background Music
The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Music went to Warne Sharpe for Raajneeti.
I am overwhelmed. India has changed my life and music forever. Indians have been so warm and compassionate and I am truly honoured to win this award. I have known Prakash Jha for six years now and this is my third film with him. The event was quite spectacular and showed how prestigious your publication is in India. Everything was quite intense. –Warne Sharpe
