Actor Navin Nischol dies

Noted film and TV actor Navin Nischol died of a heart attack.

Noted film and TV actor Navin Nischol died of a heart attack Saturday.

Nischol,65,was travelling to Pune along with actor-filmmaker Randhir Kapoor Saturday morning,when he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was taken to a hospital,where he was declared brought dead.

His funeral was held in the evening in presence of family and friends. His daughter Natasha and mother Kamla were present.

Nischol made a successful debut with Sawan Bhadon in 1970 and went on to star in films like Victoria No 203,Chhalia,Buddha Mil Gaya. In the early 90s,he made a successful transition to the small screen with the popular sitcom Dekh Bhai Dekh. He was last seen in films Khosla ka Ghosla (2006) and Break ke Baad (2010).
