Abhay,Emraan in Dibakars Shanghai

Abhay Deol,who has worked with Dibakar in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and Emraan Hashmi have been finalised to play two lead characters.

The cast for Dibakar Banerjees forthcoming film Shanghai was announced last week by the producers PVR Pictures. Abhay Deol,who has worked with Dibakar in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!,and Emraan Hashmi have been finalised to play two lead characters. Shanghai is an official Hindi adaptation of the political thriller that Greek novelist Vassilis Vassilikos wrote about the real-life assassination of a politician. Said Dibakar,I love the way some people stereotype the dark,kissy,negative Bond side of Emraan in his films. Well,this film is going to see him go right into the heat and dust of a hellish Indian small town and its deadly politics. And Abhay has never been seen like this before in a negative,almost vicious character.

Body Guard takes off in Pune
Atul Agnihotris remake of the South hit Body Guard took off in Pune on January 16. The film,which stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor,is being directed by veteran South director Siddique,who also helmed the original and the recently-released Tamil version,Kaavalan. Expect for one action scene,which will be shot in Mumbai,the entire film will be shot in locations outside the city. The next schedule that will be a 90-day marathon shoot will be in April.
