A Prime Minister cooking for langar! This surely calls for attention. And the BJP took to Instagram to post a video reel of the exactly the same. In the video, the PM, with a saffron turban neatly tied on his head, can be seen lending a hand in a langar kitchen, preparing chapatis and lentils. The party has captioned the reel ‘Pradhan Sevak offering Langar Seva’.

The Prime Minister today submitted his nomination for his Varanasi seat. Hestarted his day by offering prayers at Dasaswamedh Ghat in the constituency, following which he visited the Kal Bhairav temple before going for the nomination filing. He was accompanied by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J P Nadda, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and other NDA leaders.
Congress meanwhile took to X to add to the social media buzz and shared an edited video collage of Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi. In the first part, extracted from one of Gandhi’s speech, he could be heard saying, “You watch PM’s speaking. (He) is scared, will break into tears any day.” The next part, taken from one of the many interactions of the PM, shows him breaking down while saying, “Koi galti na ho jaye (hope we don’t make any mistakes). The Congress has also attached dates to these videos signifying Gandhi said it first, and it manifested.

Meaznwhile, Election Commission of India stood firm in its social media game by using Bollywood characters and their dialogues to encourage voters to go out and vote! This time it was Mogambo — the popular villain character played by veteran actor Amrish Puri in Anil Kapoor-Sridevi starrer blockbuster film Mr India.

Taking a cue from Mogambo’s famous dialogue ‘Mogambo Khush hua’ (Mogambo is pleased), the EC says Mogambo will be pleased only if you vote (Agar vote doge tabhi mogambo khush hoga). “Don’t let Mogambo down! Exercise your right to vote and make a difference,” the poll regulating body posted.
